Perspectives
I saw a log; they saw a canoe. I saw a picturesque setting for contemplation; they saw a place for grand adventure. I saw risk of danger of the log falling on someone’s head ; they saw possibility of challenge and excitement.
I chose to make their reality mine.
The maturing of a grandfather.
I am a board certified psychiatrist (shrink).I am also a pastor. My faith,not my professional credentials,defines me. Therefore I say that I am an 'expander' not a 'shrink'.
My sense of the significance of what I can do in my own strength has shrunk over the years. My awareness of what Christ can do in the person yielded to His will has expanded over the years.
